ABOUT

About me
My name is Dana SchOEnborn
Roots, sowing & new shores.
Born in Berlin, Germany. Raised in Saxony-Anhalt. Returned to Berlin as a young adult for training and studies. In search of new shores, I landed in Cyprus in 2021.
Background.
In my life, I have held various professional positions, both in the private sector at one of Germany's largest companies and in the public sector, working for one of Germany's ministries. During this time, I spent many years working in liability law, handling board complaints, and managing EU-funds for digitalization. The common denominator in this diverse mix: I have always supported and advised people. This is where my greatest strength and - above all - my passion lies.
Passion.
It is a matter close to my heart to accompany people on their own individual journey. Equipped with a well-stocked, methodical toolbox and an appreciative and non-judgmental view of the lives of my clients. I see it like in the movie "Mulan" – which is one of my childhood favorites, because of her courage, braveness and ability of creative problem-solving. In the movie her wise father said: "The flower that blooms in the shadows is the rarest and most beautiful of all." Therefore, I hope that my clients, even in challenging times, remember their inner strength and beauty even more and have the courage to discover new things – it might be wonderful. Offering added value to people's lives and enabling a change of perspective are always my greatest motivation.
Counseling&Me.
I have been working with psychological counseling concepts for many years. I have been able to combine these topics and deepen my knowledge through my training (in time: about 4 years) as a systemic counselor, systemic therapist, and systemic couples therapist at the Institute for Systemic Research and Therapy in Magdeburg, Germany. The founding of the Systemic Therapy Centrum has fulfilled a long-held dream: to support even more people on their life journeys.
Now&Then.
At ISFT – the Institute for Systemic Research, Therapy, and Counseling in Magdeburg, I developed my systemic roots and completed training as a systemic therapist and counselor, as well as specializing in systemic couples therapy. I have completed more than four years of intensive and continuous supervised training. I had the pleasure of being taught by true and well-known experts in the systemic-therapeutic craft.
Focus.
I am a trained systemic family therapist. I am qualified to work with individuals, families, and couples in multi-person settings. My primary focus is on counseling individuals and couples who are struggling to resolve their issues on their own and need support.
If I had to introduce Dana Schoenborn,
I would say the following:
"As a consultant, she is someone who works with a lot of heart and mind. She brings a good mix of empathy, clarity, and determination. She is dedicated to people's needs and their very individual, not always easy, life stories. When asked about her motto, she likes to say:
Life and our relationships within, moving in waves – everything has its time and season.
Clients can expect to be supported by her in a warm, respectful manner that creates space for honest conversations and profound reflection. She asks on-point questions that get to the heart of the issues and open up new perspectives for clients. She remains focused on finding individual solutions that have a lasting impact and enable real development. Her systemic approach and her courage to take unconventional paths make her a consultant who not only advises, but also inspires and motivates."
